How to Create a Client Agreement
Creating a Client Agreement is essential for optimizing and digitizing your workflow. It helps you track data, monitor client development, and allows colleagues to collaborate effectively on shared clients.
Here’s how to create one in just a few steps:
Start by Clicking “+ New Agreement”
In the Client Agreements overview, click the + New Agreement button in the top right corner.
(See image below for reference.)

Step-by-Step Guide to Creating a Client Agreement
1️⃣ Select a Customer
Start by selecting the customer for the agreement from the dropdown.

📌 Tip: If the customer isn’t listed, go to Companies and create the company first.
2️⃣ Choose Agreement Type
You’ll now select the type of agreement you want to create:

Framework Agreement
Used when you have predefined pricing with a client. You can choose between:
Fixed Pricing – A maximum set price
Interval – A specific price range
Free Pricing – No price restrictions
Dynamic Pricing
Use this when there’s no predefined pricing with the client.
3️⃣ Fill Out Agreement Information
Agreement Name (required) – This name will appear in your overview.
Agreement Number (optional) – For internal reference if needed.

4️⃣ Assign an Agreement Owner
By default, you're the owner of the agreement.
If you're not the owner:
Select No
Choose the correct owner from the dropdown.

📌 Note: If the owner isn’t listed, create them under Companies (as a supplier or company).
5️⃣ Set Agreement Dates
Define:
Start and end date of the agreement
Any potential extension period
✅ These dates help you stay ahead of upcoming renewals and price changes.

6️⃣ Add Subareas (Framework Agreements Only)
If you chose a Framework Agreement, you can now create Subareas to structure your pricing categories.
Just give each subarea a name, and optionally assign them numbers by clicking the ✏️ icon.
This helps if only specific subareas apply to your agreement.

7️⃣ Review & Create the Agreement
Check that all details are correct, then click Create Agreement.
🚨 Important: The agreement is now saved in Draft mode.
To activate:
Open the agreement
Click Activate
📌 Framework Agreements only: Don’t forget to enable prices after activation. [Read more about that here →]
